Indian Paintbrushes in Autumn

The setting sun highlighted this stand of Indian Paintbrushes at Deer Island this afternoon. They positively glowed.

  1. The Indian Paintbrushes are gorgeous. Everything is pretty much brown where I am. Thank you for sharing.

  2. I have never heard of them called that.. My mom called them 'poker' bushes...I like the top one- they look like people standing in a field.

  3. Love your photos and journal collage pages! It looks like you have a lot of fun with them. I love the dreamy quality they have. It's quite a feat that you were able to keep them up all year. I have been reluctant to take on such a commitment! Thanks for visiting my blog and commenting on the photo I restored. I used my scanner/copier, an HP 1800. It automatically corrects for fading and scratches on old photos. It is the first time I've used it for this, and I was impressed at what a great job it did sharpening the images and improving the color. You can then manually adjust the color even further. We got the printer/scanner in May and I really only just started playing with it recently.
