My Grandfather, Jesse Scott Lindsay as a Young Man

This is an oriel pendant I created featuring my grandfather as a young man or teenager. He's probably on the farm he grew up on near the Ohio River. Here's what I wrote about him:

"...(circa 1915)-- taking a break from squirrel hunting on the family farm in Ghent, Kentucky. I love his dramatic pose -- Kentucky rifle, floppy hat drawn low on his face, and smart leather leggings. My grandfather was good looking, a cut up, and fun loving. He adored me and I adored him. He passed on to me a love of horses, horseback riding skills, and equine savvy..."

  2. People do seem to like this one -- I sold one on Etsy and it's been in two Etsy treasuries. I loved my Gaga, if he hadn't been in my life, I would never had horses in my life and I would have been way messed up! He gave me a lot of structure, a sense of play, and bountiful joy as a child!

  6. hmmm, I'm gonna have to look for an image, might take awhile.. I looked at your site on Etsy and it mentions the chain which can be adjusted, now is this the old ball type chain that kids use to use to link together?

  7. Yes, it's a non-nickle silver chain. The ball comes in three sizes, I'll send you a photo.
